Mind of Millie

"Someone once told me I should write something worth reading or I should do something worth writing about."

Hi and Welcome! So glad you made it here. I love to write and articulate things clearly and this is a place for that. If you read some of these posts, you may be walking alongside me through various seasons - grief, transition, pandemic, exploring emotion through poetry, ways I am re-learning what the Gospel means for me. I hope you find validation, truth, and comfort and that my words would be a vessel of God's blessing to you.
A little bit about me - I've been following Jesus for about 8 years now. I love people, adventure, plants, cooking, guitar, rearranging my room way too often, words of affirmation, structure, organization, creative strategizing, good meals with community, reading 3/4 of a book, and swimming at Rio Vista Dam in San Marcos. And as you see, I love to write about thoughts or experiences and take photos of people and places I love.

Poem inspired by Isaiah 1:18 & Revelation 1:14

Negative emotions are not a waste of time, they are a reminder that we are human, limited, and life comes with disappointments sometimes that shake us. To deny that is to reject the opportunity to be comforted by God and loved ones.

if we are called to peace and rest why don't we have any of it (this is not in anyway reffering to or including clinical anxiety, GAD, or diagnosed mental illness)
